Christmas Collection Sneak Peek
It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since I first began contemplating starting Wonderful Life Farm. It really happened as I wandered the aisles of a store that was heaped with Christmas merchandise, and I couldn’t help but think that I didn’t want my shop to add noise to the world. I wanted it to contain thoughtful items that brought value to your life…items that strengthened the bonds in families and between friends, that added beauty to your life, and most of all…with which you could create lasting memories.
As I contemplated a theme for this year’s Christmas collection, I wondered what the world and you and your family and friends might need most this year. And what resonated with my hearts was “peace and goodwill”. It’s been a most tumultuous year for everyone, and it seems good to make peace with it and to spread peace and goodwill to one another this Christmas season. The Peace & Goodwill Collection will be launching Thursday, November 12th at 10 a.m. (EST)! But until then, here’s a peek through the (virtual) shop windows at all the Christmas treats inside!
The Christmas Paper Chain Kit. Gather the kids around to build this DIY paper chain that proclaims "Peace" and "Goodwill" on every link. I imagine some great conversations might take place about the meaning of the words. Makes an elegant paper chain of about 8-ft. in length.
My favorite way to spread goodwill at Christmastime is with a small gift, preferably homemade goodies from the kitchen, thoughtfully packaged for friends! The Christmas Cookie Box Set includes: beautiful kraft box with scalloped edges, a wisp of green ribbon, a tag which proclaims "Peace and Goodwill" with room enough to write your gift message, and a beautiful, self-adhesive wax seal imprinted with an olive branch wreath. I felt that this year might need some sort of symbolic gesture as it comes to a close, and the best one I could think of was to make peace with it in our hearts and commemorate that peace with an ornament. The Peace Ornament - 2020 was created by my friend, Erika, at One Small Story on Etsy . The front of the frame proclaims peace to 2020, and the back of it has a definition of "to be at peace with" and includes a small, olive leaf.
